"Talk to the hand"

I spend waaay too much time on my computer. I always have excuses like "I was typing this" or "reading that". Sometimes I'm "drawing" other times I'm "chatting" but seriously I need to spend some time outside "exercising".

I'm thinking of getting a vector drawing program (I'm sure I got that wrong but hopefully every either knows or doesn't care what I'm talking about). I'm probably gonna take a look around online and see what there is for free (Bump said to try Gimp but I don't know if that's vectors) and if there isn't anything worthy I guess I'm gonna fork out some money and get Adobe Illustrator. It's probably about time I bought a tablet as well. I keep talking about it and then trying to decide if I'll really use it enough to warrant buying one. But considering how much I use the computer already I'm sure I'll find something to do with it. I think I might check out the vector scene and get a little bit of understanding of how all that works and then if I still need one I'll bite the bullet.

I feel like an old person trying to understand technology: "Now days it's all about the vectors. You need to vector if you want to be in drawing."

so you drew that maddox comic by hand? Looked so illustratory at first because the line stroke isn't varied. So the best vector drawing program is adobe illustrator, you should just download it illegally from the same place people download illegal music.

I drew it in pencil and went over it with an artline pen. That's how I do most of my comics because the function on my scanner wasn't picking up pencil lines and I didn't know how to change it.

If/when I get a vector drawing program hopefully it'll be easier to just scan in the drawings and do the "inking" in the program.
