Woah Mama!

So I've been meaning to talk about this musix thing that happened in Newcastle. It's actually not that exciting to be honest. While I was in Newcastle I listened to a lot of Tracy Chapman and Michael Franti. I'd only just heard Fast Car by Chapman when I started listening to some of her other stuff. Verdict: She's tops. Especially the song Change (I'm not really sure if that's the actual name but it's what I've been calling it). The only Franti song I've ever heard was Everyone deserves music but two other good songs of his are Oh my God and Has anybody seen my mind?

I've had this CD Generation Sixpack by a band called Pure for a long time. Astra lent it to me aaaages back and I've neglected to return which is bad of me but I'll get around to it at some point. The CD is really slow and cruisey and I like it a lot. I got dragged into a used CD store for a look around, besides seeing hot hipster chicks I also had a look for some Pure CD's. Thing is I'd been looking around for a while but I wasn't really prepared for what I'd do if I ever found one. I ended up finding two! I didn't really wanna buy both so I kinda had a quick listen to both and just picked feverish. It's not a bad album, not as good as the other but it's still good listening and seeing it was only $13 probably worth it.

My mate thePlayer what I was staying with in Newcastle has been learning guitar for a few months now so we were jamming and stuff at his place. It was pretty fun but like well frustrating as well. He wasn't really experienced enough to just fangle music to lyrics straight off the bat and when I had ideas for how to fix something that didn't sound right we couldn't communicate what we wanted each other to do. But it was fun enough that I want to try it some more though I definitely think I need some improvement in coming up with vocal melodies hopefully that will come with experience. The next morning his cool dude next door neighbour came over and jammed with us for a bit as well. He's a wicked mad guitar player and he's only been learning for a year but some of his solo stuff is so damn pro. When he records something I'll be sure to let you know.

I wonder if Bump and Bert will ever get it together?
