I woke up today with a really bad pain in my neck, consequently I haven't been able to turn my head to the left all day. So instead of doing anything strenuous I've been reading the new Robin Hobb book Shaman's Crossing. I first read Robin Hobb's assassin series and enjoyed it although it did have it's depressing moments and I'm not sure how satisfying the ending was. Later I tried to read the Liveboat Trader series (I can't remember if I've got all the names of the series correct but if you're familiar with his books it shouldn't be too hard to work out what I'm talking about) but I thought they started promisingly but devolved into severe suckitude fairly quickly. Shaman's Crossing was mostly enjoyable though I will admit it had it's share of boring and confusing moments. The ending of the book did wrap many threads up satisfactorily and made the sometimes necessary perseverance worthwhile.
But now that I've finished the book I'm hoping this pain in the neck goes away soon.
