Moving Pictures

I just watched Layercake. It's a movie about drugs in a similar vein to Lock Stock and Snatch but it's not quite as good. The dialogue isn't anywhere near as funny or clever and the acting is a little bit stilted. Also there's something about the way events unfold in Lock Stock so that everything sort of works and is awesome. Layercake didn't quite work out the same way although there was a nice twist in the last few minutes.

I also watched Goblet of Fire and Sky High recently. Goblet of Fire was ok, but the Harry Potter movies are nothing compared to the books. It was weird to see them try and cram as much of the book into two hours and still leave heaps out. I wasn't expecting Sky High to be any good but it was actually a lot of fun. I quite like superhero's and the inherent cheese, this was definitely cheesey but it totally worked it.
