I was going to commit suicide today. I totally had a plan and everything:
1) Go to uni.
2) Give presentation.
3) DIE DIE DIE!!!
Luckily for me and everyone that loves me, part two went so well that I completely forgot about part three. Now I have two weeks to do some art before my half yearly review and maybe start working on my essay. What that really means is I have two weeks to watch dvd's and play xbox! I still haven't got drunk yet. There's something pathetic about getting ruined at home all alone, so I'm saving all the pent up energy for another time.
I was talking to Manny on the phone the other day about the comics he's drawn. Long distance collaboration without computers can be really tedious. I have to tell him the script to draw and then give really detailed instructions on any visual structure for the comic that I think is necessary and even then I'm sure we have totally different idea of what he should be drawing. So like I said I was talking to him about his comics. He's been drawing each panel on a full A4 page which is fine by me because it just means more detail and all that. Some of the comics we planned are four panels, two across two deep, and others are three panels in a row. This totally works if you have the A4 page upright like a writing page, but if you turn it sideways three panels across isn't really an option because it'll look too squashed. Of course Manny didn't think of this and when he realised what I expected he was a bit annoyed. I told him to just draw the next one my way and see what he thinks.
Naturally my way is better and so he's already planning to redraw the four comics he's drawn. Seeing as how he doesn't have access to a scanner it's not like redrawing them will cause any (extra) delays for you guys but it sucks for him, all that effort wasted. Good thing he doesn't have anything else to do I guess.
