It got better

My parents left today for London, England. I am a mix of "yay" and "wah". It's nice to not have them around but at the same time now I have to look after myself like a grown up. They left at lunchtime today and it was very odd. How do you say goodbye to someone that you're not going to see for six months? Goodbye hardly seems adequate. Of course the first thing that happened after they left was that the power went out.
