the Coffee Underachievers

(props to Bump for the title)

A while back I made a post about the Coffee Achievers, a webcomic by Mitch Clem and Joe Dunn. I was impressed by it's art and it's writing. It was all round awesome. Well the comic has just ended and it was anti-climactic to the say the least. Bump didn't even realise it had ended the conclusion was so shabbily executed.

After waiting a little while for an update I went to the forums to see if the comic really had ended. It had. Not everyone was as satisfied with the ending as Willeth. One comment from XXblackfireXX summed up a number of my grievances:
Did Alice force feed the same chicken leg to all three to release them from the scarab’s control or did defeating one defeat them all? What happened to Curtis, Did he realize that Fletcher didn’t have the mix-tape anymore and just decided he was done with the revenge? Did he see that his ‘minions’ were getting beaten and just took off to plot an even bigger revenge on Fletcher? With the monster being spotted in a fight downtown, where is the CIA? Where was Philip hiding and crying during all of this? Does the man from the Record store actually get his date?
I guess a part of me was annoyed that the comic was being concluded at all but the least they could've done is conclude it properly. As I said on that particular forum "Too much was left unanswered in a way that didn't feel mysterious so much as incomplete."

This isn't a "you had me you lost me" because the comic has ended. They had me right up until the last strip and if they started again they'd still have me. I'd just like some closure y'know?
