To say that Manny is a fan of zombie movies would be a dangerous underestimation of his sanity. He dreams about them. At night he is a zombie slaying hero. Which I guess would be a pretty cool thing to dream about. It beats dreaming about members of your family dying I suppose.
We both quite liked Dawn of the Dead, mostly because it didn't get bogged down in too much of a plot. There was zombies, and they were grizzly and awesome. There was slaying on both side and generally it was just sweet.
So I was looking at this Kevin guys website, it has a bunch of random stuff such as a zombie infection simulation. I also found Kevins online game called Urban Dead. It's an alright game though it suffers from a similar fate to many online games, in that it limits how much you can do in one day which can be very annoying when all you want to do is play. Especially considering this game gives you even less opportunity to actually achieve anything.
The attacks are really weak, and take forever. You can waste a whole days turns just trying to kill one zombie. If you use guns you spend one turn killing a zombie or two and then the next million turns scavenging for bullets. Without any pistol skills it will take on average 200 turns and 34 clips (or 204 bullets) to kill one zombie.
The game hasn't really been developed very much, and there aren't many skills available. But then at the rate it's going so far I'll be playing for another year or two before I make my first level. I've started two characters: a fireman named Daniel Horus and a Zombie called Zombie Horus but I don't have the patience to continue playing either of them.

My goodness the zombie sim is fun... I love it when people get cornered, and the zombies surround then, slowly moving in for the kill
