Let them eat cake

This comic from Jim Burgess reminds me of the Artist Jeff Koons. Last I heard he was commissioning people to produce paintings of cake and then selling those paintings as Jeff Koons artworks.
He is honest about not paintings the works himself but he claims to be the artist based on the fact that it's all his idea. In terms of art that's really not all that new a concept, heaps of artists (especially sculptors) outsource creation of their works. But I think Jeff Koons is one of the few who makes that divide between artist and creator a major part of the work.

It's been three or four years since I first learned about Jeff Koons and I still haven't decided whether I like him or not.
