Fully Sick

I did a practice run for a performance today. In general practice runs are not something I do. I've always felt like if something happens that thing should happen during the performance. The first time is always the most real time. I don't want to be thinking too much when I'm doing a performance, I don't want it to be too premeditated.

But today I did a practice run. My plan for the real performance was to fill a series of jugs or containers with water. This water would be black from food dye. I would then attempt to drink all the water in a jug (over two litres) as quickly as possible. This would surely result in me throwing up all the water. I would then repeat till I was either too sick/sore from vomiting to continue, or till all the jugs were empty.

The practice run basically involved me trying to drink two litres of water in under two minutes to see if I really would throw up. And if I did throw up would I be able to repeat the process? I meant to do the practice run before lunch so that I wouldn't throw the baby out with the bathwater. Unfortunately I forgot and ended up eating my lunch as soon as class was over. I waited a few hours before starting the trial but I was still a bit nervous about it.

I started chugging as hard as I could and I was doing alright at it. As I got close to draining the container I started gagging. Isn't that the point you might ask? Well not really. Gagging just prevented me from drinking more while also not being actual vomit. After a couple of false starts I couldn't drink any more. My stomach started aching and I kept almost vomiting. After some trembling and retching I vomited up my apple from lunch. No water, just my apple. I felt pretty shitty and ended up finding a piece of apple in my nose.

In any case I've decided to not vomit a whole lot. Sure I could avoid eating before hand and it probably wouldn't be as bad but I really hate vomiting. I'm not really sure why I thought it would be a good idea in the first place...
