I've been playing club soccer since I was about five. I'm not the best player in the world, but I'm also not the worst. In the last two years I've been playing for a different club with a circle of friends and I've been getting a few chances to play different positions and I even scored my first goal (completely by accident). I've done some brilliant things in my time and some not so brilliant things. But today I passed a milestone.
I scored my first club goal. On purpose. I actually thought "I'm going to shoot here" and then did it. And it went in. This is the start of my twenty-five goal streak I can tell! I almost scored two more afterwards, one header just over the bar and one shot that just went wide. I also attempted to set up the rest of my team but it turns out they can't finish.
We're playing indoor tomorrow night and my feet are blistered and swollen from todays game. It was like a million degrees outside and I haven't worn soccer boots in over half a year. Fortunately I'm playing in goals. Unfortunately we're playing the top side and we're gonna get drilled. There won't be any ninjas, not even a half-ninja. I'll be lucky to pull off a five-second ninja.
Harry Potter wants to go for a swim tomorrow morning before the game. I think he may actually be completely crazy. The sun has damaged his already fragile brain.
