I haven't checked out anything by Patrick Farley for a while so I ended up reading Apocamon instead of doing work this morning. To begin with, I've found all of Farley's stuff to be fairly odd and Apocamon is no exception. He's basically telling the story of revelation with pokemon, only he doesn't use any pokemon I've ever seen so it's more about the style of pokemon than actual pokemon. Which I was a little dissapointed about to be honest I wanted to see the angels as classic pokemon rather than as they're described in the bible but drawn like pokemon. Also his attempts at humour didn't really go down well with me.
I like his other stuff and I saw a lot of potential in a Pokemon Apocalypse, unfortunately it remains unrealised.
