A new video game is on it's way. Maybe.
In short that article is about a rabid opposer of violent video games who's challenging any company to make a video game about a father whose son is killed by a "gamer". The game itself is the exaction of the fathers violent revenge on the video game industry. If a company takes him up on the challenge and makes the game he'll donate $10,000 to charity.
See if I ran a small company I would totally take him up on this. For one the game sounds awesome, like Hitman or Max Pain only with a slight twist. Secondly, it would get you a lot of publicity, expecially if it's a good game as well.
I think it'd either sell really well or not at all.
Also "the Golden Rule" would be a fucking awesome title.

I agree. The game idea is pretty awesome. controversial, but not too much. A typical game-building company wouldn't mind paying themselves out, expecailly if u can take that opportunity to pay other programing companies ceo's out at the meantime.
i reckon the big boss at the end has to be to wipe out this sith lawyer dude who is attempting to incite the creation of the game in the first place, and not only that, is willing to give money to a competitor of any other programming company who isn't take 2.
"Target yourselves as you target others". Put that in ya own pipe and smoke it.
Except that the money doesn't go to the company remember, it goes to charity.
Ah. Bum
