Comic # 3

It's thursgay, time for comic!

Basically this one is a bit different from the others you've seen in that I didn't draw it all as one comic. I drew different bits of it on different pages and then just put it together afterwards. To be honest I don't like doing it this way. It makes for unwanted complications. I also boldened the lines to make it look better. Ideally I would like to make it a bit more smooth and fatter but maybe I'd actually have to draw it like that in the first place, maybe.

I don't really like the lack of line around the comic either and I don't think I'll be doing that again. This is basically one big learning experience for me. If I'd waited till I was perfect before starting I would never make anything. Some have said this would be a good thing, they got what they deserved.

I don't like the speech bubbles and text at all. I've been trying to find a suitable way to replace them unfortunately I can't make the ellipses in photoshop with an outline so at least for the moment you'll just have to suffer through the "hand drawn phase".

For the time being I'll be publishing a comic once a week (ideally thursday) and building a buffer (current buffer: 1). When the buffer has quelled my anxieties I will maybe do a few more a week. I have fridays off so I can use my three day weekend to draw a few more comics.

Also, "Boys Don't Cry" by the Cure is a pretty sweet song. I'm sure I should italicise the name of the song, or the name of the band, or something but I can't be muffed.
